Lumon
Project Overview
The Lumon Coffee Packaging series is a conceptual visualization project that explores how storytelling can be extended into product packaging. Drawing from the fictional world of Severance, the packaging was designed by another creative team, while our focus was on translating the concept into cinematic 3D renders.
Objective
The objective of this project was to create realistic, high-fidelity product renders that could showcase the packaging system as if it existed in a commercial context. Through controlled lighting, material calibration, and scene composition, the goal was to present the boxes as premium design artifacts.
Scope of Work
3D Modeling & Visualization: Built accurate models of the packaging to ensure realistic proportions and forms.
Lighting & Rendering: Designed a lighting setup that enhances material qualities, shadow play, and color contrast.
Material Calibration: Focused on subtle surface finishes, edges, and reflections to communicate realism.
Scene Composition: Positioned the products in variations that balance hierarchy, symmetry, and visual storytelling.
Outcome
The final renders deliver a cinematic product study, showcasing Lumon’s packaging with clarity and atmosphere. While the typography and graphic system were not part of our role, the visualization demonstrates how 3D rendering can elevate packaging design, offering a polished, photography-like presentation that feels ready for brand.
